21READER’S GUIDE
The 2025 collection holds nine Stephen Francis Montagna novels: the Wind and Scorpion trilogies, Sandstorm, its sequel Trump’s Brass Escalator, and Massive Vinegar Joe Platform.
Six of the nine books are the two trilogies: the female-samurai Wind Trilogy and Robert Walker’s Scorpion Trilogy. Sandstorm and Trump’s Brass Escalator read as a pair—the evidence carried out of Iran in the first is what brings Walker to Trump Tower in the second. Massive Vinegar Joe Platform turns to the Pacific, where China moves on North Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The two trilogies, and Sandstorm before Trump’s Brass Escalator.
