- Birth of Wind — Japan, 1333: the female samurai and the shogun’s curse on her sword
- The Wind’s Breathe — Japan, 1996: the sword is found and put to work
- Night Wind — the United States: an FBI agent brings the blade home
The Scorpion Trilogy, in order
- Eagle’s Talon — book one: the plot against the President and the capture mission in Iraq
- The Scorpion Sting — continues where Eagle’s Talon ends: retaliation inside the United States
- Daughter of the Scorpion — completes the trilogy: a designer bioweapon in the Iraqi desert
Robert Walker beyond the trilogy
Robert Walker recurs far beyond the Scorpion books. The novels’ own portfolios and descriptions name him in The Paradise of the Devil (as a corporal), Bio-Level Three, Sandstorm and Trump’s Brass Escalator (as a lieutenant), and The Vulture Will Lead You to Death and God’s Sword of Justice (as a captain). The author has not published a single chronology for those books; each stands on its own.
