THE STORY
A WORK OF FICTION
Continuing the story of Sandstorm, this novel brings the President, Vice-President, Special Forces leader Walker, and his female sergeant to New York. They are preparing to present evidence gathered in Iran to the United Nations. Before they can do so, robbers attack Trump Tower and take the Vice-President hostage. Walker and his team must interrupt their larger mission to stop the robbery and save a life at the center of government.
The book is the continuation of "Sandstorm." The President and Vice-President of the United States, as well as Special Force Team Leader Walker and his female Sergeant, are scheduled to address the United Nations over the evidence the Special Force team found in Iran. However, before they can address the United Nations, robbers attack Trump Tower while they are there. The would-be robbers hold the Vice-President hostage, sending Walker and his team into action to not only save the life of the Vice-President but also to stop the would-be robbery.

READER’S GUIDE
Trump’s Brass Escalator by Stephen Francis Montagna is a hostage rescue thriller. A hostage crisis interrupts a mission to expose the truth.
Trump’s Brass Escalator continues the story of Sandstorm. The President and Vice-President of the United States are in New York with Special Forces team leader Robert Walker and his female sergeant, ready to address the United Nations with the evidence Walker’s team found in Iran. Before they can speak, robbers attack Trump Tower while they are inside and take the Vice-President hostage.
The book portfolio calls it a political thriller that becomes a hostage thriller, with a military hero already inside the target. President Albert Cole, Vice President Mary Hirshfield, Lieutenant Robert Walker and FBI Director Hedemann lead the cast. The editorial review published with the novel, by Patricia L. Harmon for BlueInk Review, singles out its detailed portrait of the Multi-National Rapid Response Force.

Yes. The author describes it as the continuation of Sandstorm, so read Sandstorm first. The evidence recovered in Iran in that novel is what brings Walker to New York in this one.
The title refers to Trump Tower in New York, where the hostage crisis takes place. The President in the novel is a fictional character, Albert Cole.
