Meet Captain Robert Walker and follow the missions of the Scorpion Trilogy.
Robert Walker and his Special Forces team are the thread through the Scorpion novels. Begin with Eagle’s Talon, where the mission that follows an assassination plot takes the team from the United States into Iraq.
The Scorpion Sting continues the aftermath of that operation as retaliation follows the soldiers home. Daughter of the Scorpion sends Walker into the desert to locate a biological weapon and the young woman who may know its hiding place. These stories connect military action with the consequences that follow it.
Iraqi President Saddam Hussein sends a terrorist group to assassinate the American President in an effort to end the sanctions on his country. Special Forces leader Robert Walker and his troops are tasked with stopping the attack. Their mission then takes them into Iraq, where they must capture the terrorist leader and bring him to the United States to stand trial. This is the opening story of the Scorpion Trilogy.
The story continues after Eagle’s Talon. Saddam Hussein sends another terrorist group into the United States to kill the Iraqi operative captured by American forces, along with soldiers involved in his arrest. Walker and his Special Forces team must locate the new cell and stop its campaign of retaliation. The danger follows the soldiers home, turning the aftermath of one mission into the beginning of another.
The discovery of secret military papers exposes an Iraqi biological weapons program. American intelligence learns that the pathogen could mutate and threaten life on a global scale if it is released. Captain Robert Walker leads an elite rapid response team into the Iraqi desert to find a young woman believed to know where the weapon is hidden. Time is running out as his soldiers race to locate the agent before its creator unleashes it.

The series review published by Author’s Choice LLC calls it a bold, high-intensity series that merges geopolitical thriller, military fiction and counterterrorism drama; its full text is on this site. Walker’s story continues outside the trilogy too—see the full reading order.
